BIT NEUE SHULE TURTLE TACTIO ZLIDA 16MM

The Neue Schule Turtle Tactio with Flex Zlida is an intelligent and innovative bit that blends the benefits of a fixed cheek with the subtlety of a loose ring. The clever Zlida cheek design offers enhanced directional control—similar to a Dee Ring—while preserving the feel, softness, and responsiveness of a loose ring, making it ideal for riders who want more guidance without sacrificing sensitivity.

This bit is an excellent tool for flatwork, helping to improve the horse’s balance, outline, and straightness, while encouraging smoother, more precise transitions. It’s especially popular among riders who need a touch more control for hacking or fun rides, yet want to remain within dressage legal guidelines for both training and competition.

The Turtle Tactio mouthpiece is designed to be kind and anatomically correct, offering tongue relief by focusing contact through the center of the tongue and reducing pressure on the more sensitive outer edges and bars. This encourages the horse to relax, keep the tongue in a natural position, and maintain a quiet mouth—often eliminating the need for a flash noseband.

Made from Neue Schule’s Salox Gold® material for quick warmth and high acceptance, the Turtle Tactio with Flex Zlida is a favorite among both pleasure and competition riders who want to maintain comfort without losing communication or control.
