HORSE BIT TRUST SWEET IRON LOOSE RING BRASS RINGS 16MM

The TRUST Sweet Iron Loose Ring Brass Ring Bit is designed for horses that require additional stimulation in the mouth and benefit from increased tongue activity. The mouthpiece features distinctive brass rings in the centre, making it particularly suitable for horses with a less responsive or "dead" mouth.

The brass rings encourage tongue movement and chewing activity, helping the horse become more attentive to the contact. This can support a lighter and more active connection with the rider’s hand. However, because of the increased movement within the mouth, sensitive horses may find this mouthpiece too active and develop a less stable contact.

The mouthpiece is made from Sweet Iron, a material that naturally oxidises when exposed to moisture. This oxidation process creates a sweet taste that stimulates salivation and encourages the horse to accept the bit more readily, promoting relaxation and a softer contact.

The loose ring design allows the rings to move freely through the mouthpiece, creating more mobility and flexibility than fixed-ring bits. Rein aids are therefore transmitted in a softer and less direct manner, encouraging relaxation through the jaw and poll. To prevent pinching at the corners of the mouth, the use of bit guards is recommended.
