BIT TRUST SWEET IRON BABY PELHALM BRASS RING 16MM

The TRUST Sweet Iron Baby Pelham Brass Ring Bit combines the stimulating effect of the Brass Ring mouthpiece with the additional control of a Baby Pelham cheekpiece. This bit is particularly suitable for horses that require more responsiveness in the mouth while benefiting from a mild leverage action.

The mouthpiece features distinctive brass rings in the centre, designed to encourage tongue activity and chewing. This makes the bit especially suitable for horses with a less sensitive or "dead" mouth that need additional stimulation. Increased tongue movement can promote a lighter, more active contact, although highly sensitive horses may find the mouthpiece too active.

The Baby Pelham cheekpiece combines the action of a snaffle and curb bit in a compact design. It creates leverage through the cheekpieces while applying pressure to the poll, chin groove and mouth. This helps improve control and encourages the horse to soften and respond more readily to the rider's aids. The bit can be ridden with two reins for precise adjustment or with Pelham roundings for simplified use.

The mouthpiece is made from Sweet Iron, which naturally oxidises when exposed to moisture. This process creates a sweet taste that stimulates salivation and encourages the horse to accept the bit more willingly, promoting relaxation and improved contact.
