HORSE BIT TRUST SWEET IRON KIMBLEHOOK WATERFORD 16MM

The TRUST Sweet Iron Kimblehook Waterford Bit is designed for horses that tend to lean on the contact, become heavy in the hand or have difficulty relaxing through the jaw. Combining the flexible Waterford mouthpiece with the leverage action of Kimblehook cheeks, this bit offers refined control while encouraging a softer and more responsive connection.

The Waterford mouthpiece consists of a series of rounded, elliptical links that create a flexible feel in the horse’s mouth. The unique design prevents the horse from taking a fixed hold of the bit and can encourage relaxation of the jaw and lighter contact, making it particularly suitable for horses that become strong or heavy in the rider’s hand.

The Kimblehook cheekpieces provide a leverage effect and allow the rider to choose between one or two rein positions. The lower the rein is attached, the greater the leverage and influence of the bit. This allows riders to adjust the level of control according to the horse’s needs.

The mouthpiece is made from Sweet Iron, which naturally oxidises when exposed to moisture, creating a sweet taste that encourages salivation and acceptance of the bit.
