HORSE BIT STUBBEN EASY CONTROL D-RING DOUBLE BROKEN

The Stübben SteelTec Easy Control Large D-Ring Bit with a double-jointed mouthpiece is a smart solution for riders seeking both flexibility and control. Designed to act like a standard double-jointed snaffle during regular contact, this bit transforms into a bar bit under strong, bilateral rein pressure—activating a firmer, more defined signal when the horse pulls. Once the pressure is released, the bit returns to its softer, flexible state, offering mouth-friendly communication with precise control only when needed.

This bit is especially useful for horses that tend to become strong or unresponsive in certain situations, such as hacking out, approaching jumps, or during moments of tension. The Easy Control mechanism encourages horses to self-regulate their behavior by backing off the contact when the firmer effect activates. However, it should be used primarily as a training aid, and only for short periods, with frequent checks to assess the horse's progress and response.

The double-jointed stainless steel mouthpiece distributes pressure evenly across the tongue and bars, supporting comfort and promoting relaxation. Large, fixed D-rings provide excellent lateral stability and guidance, helping to keep the bit quietly and securely in place. The ring design also prevents pinching and slightly softens the rein aids, making it ideal for sensitive horses that need control without the intensity of a leverage bit.

Crafted from durable, tasteless, and odorless stainless steel, this bit is built to last while remaining comfortable for the horse. It is particularly well-suited for horses that get strong in specific situations, those that pull toward jumps, need lateral stability, or are too sensitive for traditional leverage bits. The Easy Control D-Ring offers a thoughtful balance of power and sensitivity—encouraging responsiveness, without sacrificing the horse’s comfort.
