DERBY® Vitamin E / Selenium

DERBY® Vitamin E / Selenium is a complementary feed for horses. Vitamin E and organically bound selenium are essential antioxidants that help protect muscles from oxidative stress.

Oxidative stress places a particular strain on muscle metabolism during periods of increased physical exertion, intensive training or competition. Vitamin E helps protect muscle cell membranes from damage caused by free radicals, while selenium works synergistically with vitamin E to support normal muscle function.

Thanks to its organic form, selenium is highly bioavailable and can be efficiently absorbed by the body. As a result, DERBY® Vitamin E / Selenium may help reduce the risk of muscle soreness and support faster recovery after physical exertion.

Feeding recommendation

DERBY® Vitamin E / Selenium is fed together with concentrated feed.

Moderate work:

• 200 kg body weight – 5 g per day

• 400 kg body weight – 15 g per day

• 600 kg body weight – 25 g per day

Heavy work:

• 200 kg body weight – 10 g per day

• 400 kg body weight – 20 g per day

• 600 kg body weight – 30 g per day

Maximum daily amount:

• 200 kg body weight – 20 g per day

• 400 kg body weight – 40 g per day

• 600 kg body weight – 60 g per day

The enclosed measuring cup (30 cc) corresponds to approx. 24 g of product.

Important: due to the content of organically bound selenium, DERBY® Vitamin E / Selenium must not exceed 1 % of the total daily ration.

Nutritional additives per kg:

• Vitamin E (3a700) – 35,000 mg

• Selenium (organic form from Saccharomyces cerevisiae CNCM I-3060 / inactivated selenium yeast, 3b8.10) – 20 mg
