Electrolytes play an important role in maintaining fluid balance and supporting normal muscle and nerve function. Horses lose significant amounts of sodium and chloride through sweat, making appropriate electrolyte replacement particularly important following heavy sweating, during long-distance travel and at extended competitions.

Apple Lytes Paste should not be administered on an empty stomach. Following exercise, allow the horse to cool down and calm before offering a small fibre feed or access to forage, then administer the paste. During long-distance travel, administer at appropriate intervals.

Feeding Instructions

For horses weighing 400–600 kg:

• Light work: 15 ml per day
• Hard work / heavy sweating: 30 ml per day
• Maximum: 30 ml per day

Administer directly into the horse's mouth, onto the back of the tongue.
